The other day I saw this old, old, old manikin at the vintage market and it just impressed me. I gotta admit, from all the places I've been and the people I've met and seen around Italian and french women are the ones who dress the best. This, of course, does not apply to men.
Italy having such an old relationship with high couture and fashion I can see why this kind of more "technical" manikins exist. I'm sure they had a purpose and a reason to be and when I look at this I can just imagine the amount of work that might have happened on it, with it, through it. Maybe your favourite dress from Chanel in their classic era was made on one of these. Who knows.
I like when fashion is not bling and sparkles but leather and wood. If you know what I mean. ;)
